Get together and discuss what it means to be “a man” so you can be able to stick together, and have brotherhood/fellowship/etc… You get to have benchmarks on how you are doing and have meaning. It sounds good, on the surface. I see, discussed around the MGTOW, discussions of what means to be a man, and masculinity, etc…

Well, let me give you an example, why I find this talk bull. Consider this about me section of this website:

And this part I find bull, and will explain why:

All this ends up being expectations to meet someone else’s agenda, not mine. It is about measuring up, to fit into some sort of role someone else defined to fit this “changing world”. This is bull I have no room for. I don’t need anyone to tell me who I am. I need to figure this out on my own and bargain better on it. If you want to know why I end up balking and what it means to “be a man” discussion, this is why. I am not having any strangers over the Internet tell me what works for me or not. And I certainly have no room in my life to work on the husband and father part either.

For every strong warrior who was prepared to kill there was a scientist learning how to make things and life better, there were tradesman and engineers making better ships and tools, artists painting and sculpting history to ensure there were records and writers recording everything as well as writing poetry and stories.

Every man played a part and the best of the best were that periods version of MGTOW’s.

I’ve long walked away from the idea of what “A man” should be because I know that society wants me to be a slave and women want me to serve them.
