I have found the magic bullet for dealing with all bulls~~~, for all questions and comments that make you uncomfortable. And the best part is that it requires absolutely no thought, no ingenuity, no effort on your part; yet it can stop any bulls~~~ right in its path. Ready?

Whenever anyone asks you a question or makes a comment to you that is ludicrously inappropriate, all you have to do is ask the exact same question, in the exact same words, right the f~~~ back to him/her.

It’s amazing, because a lot of people (especially women) are so clueless about what comes out of their mouths that they have no idea what they just asked you is inappropriate, until they hear it thrown right back at them. It’s a beautiful response because:

1. It takes no effort or thought on your part.

2. It nukes them completely.

3. They can’t get mad at you, because they asked you the exact same thing.

I’m twenty-one, and look even younger, and I tell you, I recently shut down some really inappropriate comments this way. Old ladies in the office will ask me: “How old are you? So how much are they paying you?” like just because I’m a student working here in the summer, that gives them the right, or the necessity, to know who I am.

Knowing women, they were extremely p~~~ed and will hold a grudge going forward.

The easier thing to do is to cite rules above you that make answering out of your power.

“I can’t say, they told me I’m not supposed to talk about that stuff, I don’t want to get in trouble.” That shuts it down but keeps you from being a target.

This is why workplaces need to be segregated though. Women are very petty and will use passive aggressive behavior at every perceived slight, and they constantly perceive slights.

Women are looking for an excuse to cast you out, so spitting an obnoxious question back in their face is hardly going to take you anyplace you weren’t already going to end up.

It does, however, show them that you use your brain. And like a child touching the stove… they will eventually learn.

With a question like that I would challenge for specifics: “I’m confused, how exactly is that relevant?” or “I’m confused, how exactly is that any of your business?”

The meta model by Bandler and Grindler is great for challenging what other people say or ask. Just lead it with a softener such as ‘I don’t understand’ or ‘I’m confused’. With good questioning you can fry the other person’s brain as it takes them outside of their view of the world.
