I have been dating someone for about 9 months now and my friends around me that have dated that long are already engaged. It seems like people are already engaged by the time they reach a year dating.

A whole 9 months? The guy is clearly not a real man if he hasn’t proposed to you yet! *face palm*

The woman asking the question doesn’t mention her age. 9 months is a relative amount of time depending on how old you are, 9 months in your early 20’s isn’t that long given how much people change in that time and how much life span you have left.

Also she seems like she just wants to get married to be like her friends and not be the odd one out. Typical female mentality.

The guy is awesome! 9 months and no engagement, AWESOME, unless the womena get prego then he must marry or void his children ever being in his life.

And, no, probably not-no marriage in the future for human kind, a more “brave new world” type of dystopia that will lead to the fall of humanity or to a cyborg’esque type of future. Or, maybe the Muslims will take over, they are the most male dominated culture…maybe they’ll have religious freedoms but stay male dominated and hold those traditions?
