I am a straight Christian male who has decided to lead a live of not only eternal bachelorhood, but also eternal celibacy. In Christianity, you cannot have sex outside of marriage and because I have made the decision not to sign a marriage contract with the state, celibacy is the way I have decided to go. It is going to be a very tough road as a 22 year old male. For those that suggest I change religions to eliminate these restrictions, that is not likely to happen. I believe what I believe with conviction. Aside from masturbation every now and then, there are no other forms of sexuality I can enjoy with another woman, thus I wish to live a life of sexual self discipline, free from women. I know this will benefit me in the end if i can get over a certain age hurdle and conquering my inner desires.

Does anyone know any celibacy support forums for men? There are some for women and others have to do with religion or asexuals. I am none of those. I’ve done some research and can’t seem to find any. Any suggestions? Also, for older MGTOW when does one’s sex drive generally die down? My goal is to reach the age of 50 or 55 without sex and by then I’m hoping I will have no sex drive and can progress with my life thusly.

Thoughts?

Good luck with that. Mine came about because I got annoyed and bored with the dating scene, but I was opposed to getting hitched. In effect, I found my own way.

How could you possibly get bored of the dating scene? Surely an endless supply of entitlement princesses who only care about their own wants and needs and have no clue about what men want is every man’s dream. Oh hang on … no … we’re not white knights. I agree. Sod that. Dating sucks.

No, your sex drive won’t diminish for quite a while. I’m 35 and mine is still quite strong. But notice we’re referring to sex drive, and not necessarily a desire to be with a female. Yes, the two are very often intertwined, but one doesn’t entail the other in any direct sense as far as ‘need’ is concerned. It’s just a ‘want’. So in this regard, it’s not overly difficult to manage. There will be times of some pretty high frustration though. You’re still young. You have a lot of life experience coming your way. There will be trials and tribulations, and females will be among them.

The biggest thing for you to always remember and keep in mind is that this is flesh against the spirit. A struggle of the inward man vs. the outward man.

Although I’m now an atheist, I’ve been deeply religious orthodox christian all my life. I stopped believing in God for quite a lot of reasons, but anyway that’s something very personal.

Let me tell you something about celibacy and Christianity from my own experience and personal researches on the topic.

Sexuality is corner stone for the personality of the individual – no matter what you do you’re entitled to it. Of course you can and must control your libido, but that’s a knife with two blades.

First of all you live in human society that is based on sex – literary. All of life is sex and death. Even in the most conservative communities sexual tension exists. It’s part of our nature, you can’t change that – you can only find an effective method of disregarding yourself from it.

Now let’s see what’s the purpose of celibacy in Christianity.

Celibacy is practiced among monks and priests for them not to be distracted from their flesh in their goal of reaching purity and God. It’s seen as victory of the spirit over the sinful nature of the body.

But we see that even in the priesthood celibacy is deforming the well-being of the individual. Pedophilia, homosexuality, psychotic disorders are mainly caused by years-long suppressed sexual desire. Of course it is great to have control over yourself, but not going against nature.

Think about that. Monks isolate themselves from society for not being tempted with sin and in the monasteries is full with f~~~~~s. You know about the celibacy catholic pedophiles and so on and so on…

I myself once thought that I don’t need sex, but my body has proven me wrong. And I was celibate for 5 years.

This isn’t a solution. It’s not the direct kind of support you may be seeking, but I’m being 100% supportive.

It really doesn’t take much effort to lead a celibate life. All you have to do is NOT talk to chicks or make any effort. Women can’t even open a conversation without a man’s help…. so it’s not like they are laying back with their legs apart, and you’re shouting “NOO!!!!!! I WON’T DO IT!!!! STOP THAT!!!!!!”. Even if she is really into you, women are much too lazy for a man to TRY and “lead a celibate life”.

All you have to do is not actively pursue her, and she’s so goddam arrogant she will think you MUST be “gay”. Celibacy is the LAST reality she will accept. She’s not going to come running after you just because you didn’t pursue her. That you wouldn’t want her sexually – just to avoid STDS – would also be inconceivable to her.

Moreover… I never told anyone I quit smoking. You know why? So I can still have one (or two with a drink) and not look like an asshole who doesn’t honor his own commitments. Nothing worse than that guy who runs around telling everyone he quit smoking on the first day… and then he says “Im on my second day now!! (expecting congratulations)… and by Friday, you go to lunch, and you see him sneaking a drag around the corner while saying “Don’t tell my wife. She’ll kill me”.

That’s when “quitting smoking” kills you too.
And he justifies it further by saying “I didn’t buy a pack, I just bummed it”.

Everything in moderation. Denying yourself ALL pleasure – even the slightest – is not healthy. The way to lose weight is not to cut out EVERYTHING. Have a piece of cake, but just eat HALF. Don’t eat an entire row of Oreos. Just have two. Have a cigarette if you’re out with friends and you really want ONE. But a personal vow of celibacy is too easily attainable for it to be a challenge or a declaration of anything.

It’s a STRUGGLE to rationalize celibacy because you’re 22 and you can’t see the future.
But it’s DAMN EASY if you just make up your mind to never get an STD or spend money on a female.

So the struggle can be removed entirely. Instead of making a promise to yourself “I’m celibate”, just decide “I will never spend money on a female”. That’s not a sacrifice for you, and it accomplishes the same goal. Even when temptation hits, the decision is guaranteed to REWARD and PAY you – every single time.

In this case, to accomplish the goal MUCH easier….
instead of saying “I deny myself this and require support”,
deny THEM (sex) when the opportunity hits, and make it THEIR struggle.

Why deny and restrict yourself? When you can REWARD AND PAY yourself.
You’re still technically not having sex, but it’s a total attitude adjustment.

I didn’t go out last night and buy beers or pay cover.
No I didn’t get laid either. But neither did some woman, and I kept my money.

No personal vow of celibacy – or discipline – required.
It’s like some female out there actually wrote me a check.

If you keep doing what you've always done... you're gonna keep getting what you always got.

In no way, shape, form, or manner is this representative of Christianity. Priests follow Catholicism. It’s not Christian doctrine to start. And the term ‘monk’ in no way implies a Christian worldview either. You have set up a strawman to be knocked down.

In Matthew 19:10-12, Jesus tells us that celibacy for the sake of the kingdom of God is a calling, and that those who are able to receive it, let them receive it. You are arguing that acts of perversion by perverse men are equivalent to God’s call to celibacy for the sake of the kingdom. It’s absurd. Jesus said it would be better for you to tie a millstone around your neck and cast yourself into the sea than to harm or cause offence to any of the little ones. And you’re arguing that pedophile child molesters are acting on behalf of God and as a result of God’s calling?

Paul says that satan himself is transformed into an angel of light, and that we should therefor not marvel when his ministers transform themselves into ministers of righteousness.

You’re referring to the ministers of satan. False impostors who seek to corrupt men from the truth.

An attitude adjustment is all that is required. The rest will come naturally.

Don’t confuse these people with celibacy. They claim to live the celibate lifestyle when many of them are sexual predators who hide under the pretence of that righteous lifestyle so they can gain access to children. A paedophiles dream job is a priest. He’s got an excuse for not being attracted to women, he has access to children and is trusted in the community. That’s why there’s so many nonces that are priests. Got nothing to do with being celibate. If that were the case then all 40 year old male virgins snap and abuse children or turn gay and we know that doesn’t happen. Being celibate doesn’t turn a man into a nonce or a queer. That’s already there in their sexual make up.

Don’t think so? Just ask all the friends, one relative, one girlfriend, that I’ve seen pass away from playing in the swamp! You’re saving your own life by going celibate! Over time your life will improve while the swamp continues on it’s veracious consumption of those that tempt it’s murky lure. The wisest decision anyone can make in today’s world of utter insanity! GOOD LUCK!

I’m on my 18th year after having all the nutty relationships in every dimension of lunacy imaginable! Never spent any time married, just kept trying on shoe after shoe and found they all have thumbtacks or broken glass imbedded in the sole (soul).
