It is a petition written by women in England in 1674, for the intent of having coffee outlawed, or at least regulated. It is written in an archaic form of English so it is somewhat difficult to understand, but it is easy enough to get the gist of their arguments. I will paraphrase here:

“Coffee is an evil liquor which men congregate around and consume to the effect of not being good husbands in bed. It keeps them awake and allows them to consume more ale. Please outlaw coffee and let our husbands get back to just drinking ale”.

My god that is a 100% fact. As long as men/husbands talk about all kinds of mundane crap, like sports and work, they prefer it that way…. but when the subject turns to “women” – and when men start comparing notes on wives and female behavior – they get VERY nervous and try to break it up. We see that on Manosphere sites, we see it here, we see it in the “NAWALT” arguments. They CAN’T leave men alone because they prefer their men stupid and running around with blinders on. The first thing they want to do is shut down the conversation. Shut down the website. Stick their noses in to everything. Nothing is more threatening to feminist female power and control than a man who is awake and aware of exactly what they are up to. They freak out. They can’t handle it. (and I can’t say I blame them, because their stupid games lack such originality, when AWALT is discovered, it’s game over for them.

“Your wife does that too?”… “yours too?”…. I mean just look at the countless men who show up and say “thank god it’s not just me”. Their wives don’t want them hanging around with single/unmarried friends for a reason. They know in their hearts that “male bonding” is a far tighter and superior bond than the man/woman team.

She went out of her way to find faults with all my friends and drive them from my life. I think it is a divide and concur tactic. The more alone I was the easier I was to take advantage of. The friends I had were friends all the way from grade school up. We had stuck together through disagreements, going after the same girl, drunken brawls ( mainly in college.) and all the other hell life had thrown at us. Our friendship just couldn’t handle the slow methodical prying of a woman dead set on controlling every aspect of my life. Knowing what I know now it was my fault for not seeing what she was doing. Never again will I let a woman push a friend from my life. Like Tom Leykis says I will not give them a key to my kingdom. It has been years since this has happened and my friendships have never truly been the same. They have moved off or even worse … gotten married there selves. That is one thing I’m still looking for. A true friend is hard to find, and a deceitful woman is a dime a dozen.
