Maybe that’s why this show upsets me so much.  Brings back bad memories.  All the men in the show are shown as complete idiots, perverts, and cowards.

One security guard impregnates one of the inmates, but is too afraid to lose his job over it.  He and the female inmate end up framing another security guard for what happened.  If there’s any character I actually like, it’s “the biggest jerk in the show.”  He’s outed, but briefly comes back, and this entrance is admittedly one of the best entrances I’ve ever seen in a TV show.  The way he talks to these women and treats them is…awesome.

Onto the topic of WOMEN and this show…

I hear women praising this show nonstop, never heard a girl say a single bad thing about it…except towards the aforementioned security guard that I actually think is remotely “likable.”

Why is this show so worshiped by women?  Is it because of the abundance of lesbianism (which I believe every female is obsessed with to an extent)?  Is it the acceptance of the one transgender female inmate (she seems to be the fan favorite)?  Is it that the white men in the show are seen as horrible human beings?  Maybe all of the above?

EDIT: Final point on this:  I’ve been hearing about this chick named “Ruby Rose” that is “turning chicks gay/bi” (implying they’re not ALREADY).  I wondered where the obsession with this chick came from.  I literally just found out.  From this very show!

This is pretty standard in TV shows nowadays.

For a start I think it is amazing it even got made as there is not one good looking woman on it, not even the main character who to me is just average.

The main character also is a train wreck.

I like Mendes the Officer that MegaChris mentions as well, he was set up by the women and that is why in the clip he is out for revenge. The officer that actually has impregnated the prisoner is a complete weakling which is odd as he is also meant to be an ex soldier. The show itself is meant to be a comedy I believe.

As far as Ruby Rose goes she is Australian and yes we are sorry. She hosted some music show down here and that is pretty much all she has done asides from ride the Lesbian/Bi gravy train. I’m not up to her episodes yet but she would be the best looking one on the show even though she too is just average.

At the end of the day all these shows and singers, celebrities etc make up their own hype and the stupid females buy into thinking this is what their sisters are into.

Oh, that’s right!  I hadn’t seen season 2 since my ex watched it over 6 months ago, so I forgot about the little details.

That’s the only way I can realistically watch it without getting any more annoyed by it.  So many women take it so seriously like they do their other drama shows, but it’s just funny how this show especially brings out the “lesbian” in every woman out there.

Just occurred to me actually. The prisoners on that show have a hell of a lot of freedom, sure they are locked up and have to do certain things at certain times but overall they are looked after, free meals, free medical, free everything. I think I just worked it out Orange is like Feminism all rights and no responsibilities. Also note how there isn’t any rape on the show, there are some tough and big women on there that I am sure in real life would have no problem raping another inmate.

But only men rape of course.

I enjoy the characters and a lot of them are funny. No doubt women love it so much because it has the “poor me” vibe women love. Women are in jail and miss their families, children, husbands, boyfriends, and freedom and we know how much women eat that kind of drama up even though the show is more of a comedy. As for the lesbian thing it is obvious that most women are bi to some degree so I am not surprised they would love all the lesbian stuff going on plus it is prison after all lol. As for the whole too much freedom thing that is because it is a low security prison. There actually is a real Litchfield and it isn’t too different. I saw a thing about it on some news program a few months ago and they or some other similar prison even have a special nursery where women who give birth can live with their babies for a month or 2 and then still continue to interact with their children in these nurseries during their stay. I am not opposed to that idea, but what makes me upset is that we all know there is no program like that for men in low security prisons.

I have heard women criticize the show though. Some feminists were mad because too many episodes were directed by men lol.

Actually in the season 3 there are 2 rapes of the same character back to back. Once in a flashback by guy who felt she owed me for last time and in the present by a guard who she had been flirting with and tried to tell him she wasn’t interested. Funny thing is I haven’t heard any feminist outcry like with Game of Thrones lol. Also in season 1 Alex did threaten to rape Pennsatucky by giving her oral in her sleep.
