While the gap was small earlier, it has increased in most places recently…. with the GCSE gender gap at 8.8% in the UK last year. Some say that it is because modular education was introduced, which is better for girls, whereas linear (end of the year exams) style is better for boys. Two thirds of college degrees are going to women too, and this is increasing every year, with 70-80% of graduates being female in the future.

But let’s be honest here. Girls are more diligent/studious and pay more attention in class. Boys are more interested in video-games, sports, porn, online forums etc than education. As one of the contributors to the Times Higher Education discussion put it: “…if the boys don’t want to get educated, why not let them play football while the more intelligent sex gets on with running the world.”

Young women have been earning marginally more than men now for quite a few years, and this gap increases every year. In the UK now even women in their 30s outearn men. Is there any doubt that when the older generation retires, females will overall be more successful than males in the west? No. The trends are showing no signs of slowing down.

Boys particularly lag behind in the reading/writing/English department. This is thought to be because of the FACT that girls develop fine-motor and verbal skills a few years earlier on average. Girls are also far more interested in reading than boys. Boys are shown to be disadvantaged in the verbal department especially in teen years, and they have the advantage in terms of “physical intelligence”.

Males are a disadvantaged group in the education system. Nature or nurture? Men need physical activity and the increasing demand for mental tasks and social skills may put us at a disadvantage especially early in life like in the education system. This is not to say that the anti-male environment in society isn’t contributing to the demoralization of boys and men.

By altering the learning environment to allow girls in, and then ever more and more in catering to feminism and now by labelling particularly exuberant boys as ADD or ADHD its making a learning environment not only unsuited to many boys but downright hostile.

http://www.privateschools.co/Single-Sex-Schools.asp

The above article says that you only need to look at the top 20 UK schools to see that. 11 were girls only schools and 8 boys only. It is important to note that there are FAR more single-sex school for girls.

Also, how is the feminist agenda and gynocentrism hurting boys in schools and men in universities? People are scared of single sex schools for boys because their feelings of inadequacy in comparison to girls will lead to an emotional compensation by developing sexist attitudes.

Please not that boys are interested in stories of violence and physical tasks. School/University is mostly for mental tasks, so it may naturally be better suited to girls. I don’t have any statistics on this but boys and men ARE more violent than girls.

Girls study more. They pay more attention in class, submit work on time and are better behaved, which means they comply more with the rules. Why shouldn’t they be the gold standard? Although I would note that physical activities are known to boost mental power and people who make violent video-games/movies are not violent people at all.

Nonetheless, boys and young men are more violent even though women are equally or more violent in intimate relationships.

I don’t see how this is relevant. 99.99% of the human population does not make scientific breakthroughs. I am talking about most people.

Oh and since we’re talking about learning, let’s not forget that girls study more than boys, and women more than men. They read more, which is crucial to learning. Women are also earning most BA and MA degrees which is not simply regurgitating stuff. In fact, women are the majority of freaking PHD winners now,  which is FAAAAR from “simply regurgitating” stuff.

And learning like a parrot actually helps a lot. Especially with kids. You have to learn stuff to become knowledgeable. Come on, you sound desperate to pick straws with that “next scientific breakthrough” argument

Yes women are not making strides in STEM, maybe because they are inherently deficient in this intelligence, just like men are in manipulative/emotional/cunning intelligence.

But when you look at professions as a whole and education as a whole, you will see a very different picture. Actually in some countries women are doing almost equally well in STEM and don’t forget that girls do equally well in math and science throughout school. So while they may not DISCOVER something they can certainly make big contributions.
