I suppose that I have been going my own way my whole life.  I am 28 and have never been encumbered by a relationship.  I spent the time and energy that I would have spent on women on travel, exploring and bettering myself.  I believe that I probably became MGTOW during the divorce of my parents.  I learned that marriage is no longer the institution that I had deluded myself into believing in, therefor I decided to forgo the wife and child route to follow my own path (much to their derision.)  I see a perceived power differential among women that I don’t want to be subject to, and an actual legal power differential that I don’t want to be at the mercy of.  Although I learned this lesson without having to experience the harsh realities of the system myself, I have to feel sympathetic for those that have.  Well, you all have a decent evening.

The ability to learn from the mistakes of others and avoid making them yourself is an enormous asset, though unfortunately, all too rare. I was fortunate to be the youngest child of a large family and had a ring side seat to the mistaken belief in the institution of marriage. I learned much from the mistakes of others, and avoided what would have been some very costly consequences for them by using what I’d learned. I’m 48 now, but I can reassure you that your perception of the power differential is accurate, and your perception of the flawed legal system is also accurate. Awareness of those things, and avoidance of them, will serve you very well. Welcome to MGTOW.

Look, it's not my fault that tornado dropped a house on your sister. Now get back on your broom and get your ass out of here... and take your monkeys with you

The Way of Walking Alone

1. Accept everything just the way it is.
2. Do not seek pleasure for its own sake.
3. Do not, under any circumstances, depend on a partial feeling.
4. Think lightly of yourself and deeply of the world.
5. Be detached from desire your whole life.
6. Do not regret what you have done.
7. Never be jealous.
8. Never let yourself be saddened by a separation.
9. Resentment and complaint are appropriate neither for oneself nor others.
10. Do not let yourself be guided by the feeling of lust or love.
11. In all things, have no preferences.
12. Be indifferent to where you live.
13. Do not pursue the taste of good food.
14. Do not hold on to possessions you no longer need.
15. Do not act following customary beliefs.
16. Do not collect weapons or practice with weapons beyond what is useful.
17. Do not fear death.
18. Do not seek to possess either goods or fiefs for your old age.
19. Respect Buddha and the gods without counting on their help.
20. You may abandon your own body but you must preserve your honor.
21. Never stray from the way.

I never really got it like everyone else seemed to. It was like everyone was privy to some big secret that I didn’t understand. When I was young, and in my Navy days, I got female attention, and acted upon it. While sex is enjoyable, I’d say that the risk of 18 years of indentured servitude over a 10-20 second orgasm weighs on the mind. I also find most women to be generally bad company, uninteresting in conversation (the quality I look for before anything,) and not very good companions. I have the feeling that either woman act 10-20 IQ points lower then they really are, or females actually are 10-20 IQ points below me (scary thought.) I also have tastes in music, literature, and art that are incompatible with most women. I find females prefer inanity, where I like to experience genius. I find listening to say Mozart, or Beethoven akin to experiencing divinity. I will never lower my standards to the current market level.

But sometimes I thought whether it would’ve been better if I had never had a girlfriend.

Would have saved me a lot of money …

The chaos started after loosing the first gf, before I was overall happy.

Now I’m just at puzzling it back together haha

Thanks for posting “The Way of Walking Alone” was inspiring and sent it a blue-pill friend who’s on his way of getting into the red-pill world. Maybe it’ll help him.

If I didn’t play the game, how could I have lost at it? I believe that I transcended the game by not playing it. Anyway the only people who try to foist the term “loser” on people is people who want to place a false value on something. The rich try to deem the poor as “losers” in order to give their accumulation of wealth some added value. Women want you to feel like a “loser” for not assigning an artificial value to them. “Alphas” want to place an artificial value on their conquests because in the end, without sexual conquests they are hollow uninteresting people in general. Use of such terms just shows the insecurities of those using it. If they had real value, they wouldn’t need to resort to such petty insults.

If I had a girlfriend I would have never been able to spend years abroad traveling through different countries, meeting people from around the world. I couldn’t have seen the mountains of New Zealand, or the Outback of Australia. I had the freedom to join the military without having agree to stay celibate during port calls on deployment. I’ve seen cities and castles all over Asia. If I want travel right now, I could leave today.

I didn’t miss anything important, in fact I think I gained more then most people could hope to experience.
