It is likely a racket done by society to get humans to breed so that the human race doesn’t die off.

I am only 30 minutes in but WTF! WARNING, SPOLIERS – The main character hasn’t even boned the Scar Jo character yet and she’s demanding he meets her family and do night courses to improve his earning potential. HYPERGAMY! These commands come as she lets him dry-hump her through his jeans at the front-door of her apartment. She’s just left him in the hallway with jock full of c~~~-snot. That said, his take on how selfish most chicks are in bed in the first 10 minutes of the movie is pretty spot-on. Will try and update this with another post when I get a chance to finish the flick.
