She got preggo and we got married. Around year 7 she cheated on me with my best friend while I was deployed. Stayed with her for another 5 years until I met my succubus. She was 20 I was 30 and damn she was bad as hell. She was/is the neck breaker when she walks into a room. We were married 2 years, the first of which was bliss. The second part was a nightmare which included black eyes for me. Turns out she was a vicious drunk who also… slept with my best friend when I deployed. At this time I thought there must be something wrong with me so I went to a therapist which happened to be a woman. My opening statement with her “There must be something wrong with me” Well after about 5 months on our final session she ask if I still think something is wrong with me, I said no and she agreed. She left me with this “I think you’re just attracted to the wrong type of woman” I took 2 years off from dating (once I got the whoring out of my system) I was happy as hell, skydiving, scuba, sailing, etc. Then I retired early from the Navy and moved to Arizona. I decided to try dating again. What an experience that was. After 2.5 years of trying to find the “right” one I realized that none of them are right for me because they are more work than my actual job. I live in a state I dislike and work a job I hate just to have nice things to attract a potential mate. Well the house is for sale and as soon as I sell it I will quit this job I hate. I have no reason to work it anymore now that I’ve realized I am happier alone than I have ever been with a woman. Don’t get me wrong I am still going to beat the breaks off hot chicks when I get the chance but I’m done working for it. It is much easier to masturbate wipe up and get back to doing what I want. I just found this site today and I am glad to know I am not the only one that has checked out of relationships. Another crazy thing is I sleep so much better when I am single. I don’t have a care in the world and I love it.

“I think you’re just attracted to the wrong type of woman”

That’s a totally unacceptable answer. Hello Jason. Welcome to MGTOW and thanks for joining and dropping your intro, but that stock response from women ….. when a man is justified in discussing s~~~ty second-class female behavior (including VIOLENT behavior) is shameful.

Imagine you go to restaurant to enjoy a pizza and some lady walks in and punches you in the face.

ARE YOU ATTRACTED TO THE WRONG RESTAURANTS?
Do you like the wrong kind of food?
Does it mean you ordered the wrong kind of Pizza?

No.

When a woman tells you “you’re just attracted to the wrong type of woman” .. it’s a clear manipulation and pathetic deflection away from actual female behavior that is the problem. It’s phrased and carefully deigned to make you feel like ATTRACTION IS A CHOICE. And it’s not. As you know, it’s not like “the wrong woman” will make herself known to you. So why does she tell you are attracted to the wrong woman? Why does she tell you that YOU need to not be attracted to women you are attracted to?

To make you STILL think it’s your problem.

But her behavior is the problem. You start out accepting full responsibility by saying “I think there is something wrong with me”…. and after months of seeking help, a professional tries to tell you there is something wrong with YOU. And then you take two years off dating because some bitch made you feel inadequate — when you’re not. Unbelievable. Try to get your money back!

Otherwise, big congratulations on your arrival.

If you keep doing what you've always done... you're gonna keep getting what you always got.

I can’t help but notice the twisted logic your “therapist” applied to your case by first Agreeing with you that you *don’t* have a problem, then completely reversing herself by placing the blame squarely on your shoulders by saying, “YOU just choose the wrong type of woman”. That is an example of Feminist logic at it’s best!

The best thing a therapist ever did for me was kick me out of his office because I refused to accept his advice without question.

Amen to that. I keep hearing ‘you have to work at relationships’. Yes, maybe you do, but when it’s actually more stressful than your day job, what’s the point?

Coming from work was like starting another shift. Another 8 hours of making someone ELSE “happy” – as if making my boss happy for the last 10 hours wasn’t enough. At least he paid and offered vacation time and benefits.

If you keep doing what you've always done... you're gonna keep getting what you always got.

I’ve had a hard time expressing this thought and you’ve done so effortlessly.
