MGTOWTabletop Thursday – MGTOW https://www.mgtow.com/forums/topic/tabletop-thursday/feed/ Tue, 09 Jun 2020 06:10:57 +0000 http://bbpress.org/?v=2.5.14-6684 en-US https://www.mgtow.com/forums/topic/tabletop-thursday/page/227/#post-90355 <![CDATA[Tabletop Thursday]]> https://www.mgtow.com/forums/topic/tabletop-thursday/page/227/#post-90355 Tue, 28 Jul 2015 15:14:00 +0000 Mocha Brothers,

Want to roll dice with other MGTOW twice a month?

I propose an online tabletop game every other Thursday night from 5-9 PM PST. I plan to stream this game live on twitch so other MGTOW can watch and participate via chat.

If you’re interested:

1) Create an account on Roll20.net.

2) Setup a Skype account.

3) Post in this thread with your Roll20.net username and I’ll invite you to the game.

4) Create a level 1 D&D 5E character.

Why Thursday Nights?

Because it works for me. If you want to play on a different night, feel free to use this thread to setup other games. I don’t mind.

Why D&D 5E?

Because I want to keep this game to be as cheap as free. D&D 5E has made their core rules available online free. It’s easy to pirate the rest of their content if you’re so inclined. Don’t feel bad, I’ve purchased everything 5E related so far. As long as one person does that it’s fine, right?

Also, D&D 5E is the newest edition of Dungeons and Dragons. It’s an established brand that most people new to tabletop RPG’s will recognize and it’s easy to pick up and play. I prefer other gaming systems (FATE, D20, and Savage Worlds) but D&D 5E is easily accessible for guys that have never played tabletop games before.

Why Roll20?

Because it’s free and a good resource for online tabletop games.

Why Skype?

Because Roll20 has s~~~ty built in voice communication. Skype does everything Roll20 does, better.

Why Twitch.tv?

To keep a record of the games and open it up to the community at large to check out.
