“our” shippers and receivers were paid 16.50 to 18.00/hr. depending on qualifications. so at minimum it would be 1320.00 per regular 80hr pay period, to a maximum of 1440.00. Both her and I were at the higher end of the scale, yet she always complained about not being paid the same as the guys.  I ended up breaking it down for her like this.

Base pay $37440.00 net – Overtime @ rate x 1.5

Her –

Sick/medical days taken –  14 days (max 10 paid entitled) neg 576.00

Vacation days (paid)taken 10 days (10 entitled)

Stress leave (unpaid)taken – 21 days (7 entitled with pay)neg 2016.00

emergency leave taken –  7 days ( max 7 with pay)

lates (30 minutes or more) – 19 = neg 171.00 (at 30 min each late)

overtime earned  – 8hrs@ 18.00 x 1.5 hr ($216.00)

So she earned $37440.00 – $2547.00 =$34893.00 net

I earned $37440.00 + $5319.00 =$42759.00 net

Oh, s~~~ I just realized I did get paid more because I am a man…. it had absolutely nothing to do with actually being at work an pulling overtime did it?
