To answer your question, I believe in the past there was a balance, men were mostly men and women were mostly women, who fulfilled their gender roles and built homes and families. Sure there were those on both sides who failed but generally speaking it worked well enough.

Now, that balance has been removed and you have Feminists who want the best of being the old world lady as well as the best of being a liberated independent woman.

In other words they want all the freedom and fun without any responsibility. At least in the past men being honorable took responsibility with the status.

I don’t like the term because it’s groupthink, and doesn’t account for individual circumstances.

Am I ‘oppressed’ because I have to pay 40% of my income to the government? Or can only people who don’t work be ‘oppressed’? Are white males the only group that can’t be oppressed? Is claiming the existence of a ‘rape culture’ oppressing men? Are men ‘oppressed’ because they have to ‘marry down’ to women that make less money than they do? Are men accused of rape and expelled without due process on campuses ‘oppressed’? What exactly, does ‘oppressed’ mean to you? Are men ‘oppressed’ because only they are drafted and must fight in combat, whereas women are not? Why are scholarships based upon race and gender, not racist, whereas a scholarship for white males, would most certainly be racist and sexist?

I’m calling your bulls~~~ what it is — elitism — calling anyone that disagrees with you ‘uneducated’. Part of that is because I have been schooled by people with a lot less formal education than I’ve got. The mechanics put up a sign in our shop reading ‘Maintenance Department: where those without college educations fix what was designed by those with college educations’, I just laughed my ass off and let them keep it up. Most of what I know in my field was learned from guys with high school educations.

Men can CHOOSE whether and how to relate to women. Men know, or are learning the score. That is why marriage is less frequent. One of my work colleagues discussed his first marriage a week or two ago, how he didn’t have to pay some of the attorney fees. He was happy until he learned those fees, didn’t have to be paid by him, because they were going towards winning some of HIS retirement for his wife, so he could work some extra years. I would argue men typically LOSE in the marriage game; becoming corporate drone-slaves, but I base this upon how many hours of market labor each gender performs each day. I base it on how infrequently 50/50 joint custody is awarded. But men CHOOSE marriage. We can say 9-5 jobs ‘oppress’ us, but we choose them. We could go and live self-sufficiently in the wilderness. Our choice. Or start our own business. Or live a minimalist lifestyle and retire at 40 in Mexico.

Some women ALSO don’t want marriage. I’ve known men and women who’ve lived together for years, NEITHER of whom want a marriage 2.0 contract. And many women who DON’T want kids.

Men and women have different biological imperatives. Some women ignore the imperatives; there are also biological differences between individuals. So not all men and women follow the MGTOW behavioral ‘narrative’, but the vast majority, in my experience, DO.

Also I disagree we should call posters women if we disagree with them. Debate them on the merits of the arguments. Although I do concede, the Gynocentric Bulls~~~ Genie is funny as hell.

Defending, justifying, and constructively criticizing arguments will make MGTOW more credible. I’ve been called a woman on here repeatedly just because I disagreed with somebody else’s views.
