Anyway.  I was talking to him about marriage, and he brought up same-sex marriage.  Unlike me, he’s against same-sex marriage.  In his opinion, it’s “sick” and “scary”.  He did bring up one topic that I’d never thought of before; same-sex divorce.  It blew my mind :O

He says that he met a gay man last week who was complaining about not being able to get divorced from his husband.  I don’t know where the gay couple got married, but apparently none of the legal offices were willing to assist with divorce process because they weren’t “prepared” or “familiar” with that type of situation.  The man said that he went to multiple states to try to get divorced, but it was always the same story.  The gay man said that even though it was legally more difficult for him to marry a man than it would have been for him to marry a woman, the most difficult thing he’s ever tried to do is get a divorce from a man.

What do yall think?  I think that the LGBT put so much focus on same-sex marriage that they totally forgot to focus on same-sex divorce.

Also, I think that the heterosexual marriage is going downhill faster than same-sex marriage because it’s difficult for the government to take sides in a same-sex marriage.  In a same-sex marriage, the government can’t say, “It’s the man’s fault”.  A lot of women would get married to a man with the intent of divorcing the man in order to take a percentage of his prosperity.  They have an incentive to divorce a man.  That incentive just about dies if the woman marries another woman, so I think that’s one of the reasons why their divorce rate is lower, other than the reason I stated above.

All that gay man has to do is get on the news, and say “i’m being discriminated against by divorce lawyers”, and the problem will be solved. I will show no sympathy to any man that supports marriage…sorry they’re on their own, and will get everything they deserve. I don’t care how gay you’re thats no excuse to go run off creating an alliance with someone who gives ZERO f~~~s about your gender.

@NCDude-I think the fight for homosexual marriage is more symbolic of the movement for equal rights than anything else. I see it as trying to establish the basis that homosexuals should not be treated differently by society or the courts than heterosexuals are. Homosexuals having the option to marry I suspect is the key point of the issue, not necessarily choosing to get married.

OldAtHeart.  I’ve seen many videos on YouTube where homosexual men and homosexual women claim to be against feminism.  A lot of them have been verbally, emotionally, and/or physically abused by feminists.  I’ve even seen one video of a lesbian who said she was raped by her feminist girlfriend.  I’m not showing sympathy to the marriage of homosexuals.  It’s just that I find it ironic that they fought so hard for something that did not really benefit them.
