I found this clip of Jim Norton talking about double standards in conduct was really on point. I think one of the most important dynamics he touches on is the fact that when a college PROFESSOR, someone IN CHARGE of educating the next generation of misguided young people says some racist, bigoted s~~~ about white males, the university’s hands are tied as far as reprimanding her. Can’t do it. She has a right to free speech. But when some drunken, nobody student says some retarded drunk bulls~~~ about black people or titties on a bus, their hands are tied as far as “this dude must now be expelled and forever shunned.” Such hypocritical bulls~~~.

I remember my English professor from my first year of university some 20 years ago. She was a lesbian feminist and was very vocal about her disdain for men. Her office door was full of cartoons mocking men. She was a t~~~ and I had zero time for her.

Take Sir Tim Hunt, a Nobel prize winning scientist forced to resign over a joke about men and women working together, no right to free speech there, how about Matt Taylor? lands a probe on a comet 4 billion miles from this rock we call home, and on the very next day when he should be being held up as a shining example of the potential of the human race he was actually being held up as an example of the worst kind of scumbag and reduced to tears while being forced to apologise for any offence caused by the shirt he was wearing on the day he announced the mission’s success.

Worst of all is that in both these cases (and many others) the achievements of the men involved are torn down by women the vast majority of whom will never in their lives come close to achieving anything even remotely comparable.

Too true, my friend. I used the example of “white male student” in an attempt at painting a picture of what contemporary society would describe as a perfect storm regarding an advocate of rape culture.
