Anyway I got to see the dynamic of my G’pa and my Gamma who married in the old school pre-feminism days.  Like they married in 1934…   Really old school. LoL.  There was an unspoken dynamic between them.  It started with my G’pa as the head of the house.  He brought home the bacon.  His word was law.  His wife cared for the children (6) and maintained the household, she respected his word and he listened to her about anything with the children.  They were also strict catholic.  As in you marry and it is for life.  There was no cheating because they did not want to burn in hell.  They believed.  They were never rich, not with 6 kids, but he put all of them through college.  (colleges were cheaper back then)

Thing I noticed was they both knew their roles and were confident that neither would abandon the other.  My G’pa married the girl next door literally and made it work for 78 years.   They did it right.

I look at what is happening now and see that after woman’s suffrage movement the subsequent waves of feminism have destroyed the covenant that at one point was the backbone of families.    Women no longer respect men on any level, so without respect, we have the divorce rates we have now.

If I could find a conservative woman who wasn’t inundated with hypergamy values, I’d snatch her up in a heartbeat… along with her rainbow and pot o’ gold. We’re about 50 years out of that demographic.

The NAWALT is not worth the risk. Like KeyMaster said, it’s akin to grabbing a hand grenade, pulling the pin, then hoping it’s a dud. You’ll be damn happy, the problem is… detonation time is 1 day to 30 years or more. Have fun waiting to see when it goes off in your face.

I have yet to meet a woman as mean, spiteful, and hateful as that woman. She was catholic woman of the year seven times, and as evil as the worst sinner. He was one of the reasons I divorced my wife, I did not want to be him, regretting the promise kept with a life of misery.

The woman I am with now only wants to be a 50’s wife, she loves the idea of taking care of her man. Had I found her when I was young, we’d had a lot of kids. She is the good woman we all look for, and I am enjoying her company. I hope it lasts.

but you’re right, its virtually impossible this day and age to have what they did.  for all the reasons you listed and more.
