What a life for the husband. The best he can hope for is to get sloppy seconds from the wife and to not get divorce raped by the cheating whore.

The husband goes to off to work for a few days, she stays home, they make the farm wife look as bored and “oppressed” & unfulfilled as possible…. and at the end, the husband had no idea his wife was milking and daydreaming about Eastwood for years, and his dying words are “I’m sorry you had your own dreams and I didn’t make them happen”, and she taps him on the chest with her fingertips – as if to silently say “that’s OK dear, I still got some D on the side. I forgive you.”.

Man cheats, he’s a pig. Women cheats, she’s an angel and he’s an asshole who din’t take care of her “needs”, but she forgives him because he provided a roof over her head for 50 years.

The idea of marriage as a lifelong monogamous exclusive commitment is ridiculous and obsolete. It may have worked when the average life expectancy was 35. But does anybody seriously believe that it is possible to be with the same person for 50 or 60 years and not get bored out of your mind? When I married my first husband at the age of 21, I knew it was not forever and indeed, I divorced him 15 years later, when the kids were older.
