Not married (anymore), no kids. I do have a live-in GF.

Being new, I’ll read more, post less until I get a feel for how things are done around here. Hoping to be a valued contributor over time, and wish to thank the site and those members already here for having me.

Like many guys, there are those various issues that plague the male existence, issues many of us share. It’s refreshing to find a forum of discussion for these things and other subjects that are all too often viewed as a solitary journey for most men. The support, opinions, ideas and experiences here seem like a great resource, so thanks again.

Now off to read the site ROE to make sure I stay in line with the program.

Live-in GF?  Been through that before a couple of times.  I have a female friend of mine temporarily living with me now.

All I can say is (and I’d tell my past self this if I could):

Though my divorce was about as amicable as one could hope for, I also have a long memory of the slow and brutal wind-down to that relationship.

I’m in no rush to tee myself up for more of the same, so yeah, caution and stability is the name of the game. Now if the GF can stick with the program that’d be great, but on the other side, she doesn’t understand what the abundance of experience driven caution is about.

I make a point to not state ground rules, to telegraph my qualifiers. If she can do her part, organically, and not through being coached in to position, we’ll likely do just fine. If she can’t, then that outcome will illuminate itself also.

I’m not here to mold anyone. If I find the unicorn, that’d be great. If I can’t and have to move on, then that’s what I’ll do.

I’d like to hear about these male-related problems plaguing our world. Which do you think should be addressed first?

Good luck with the whole GF thing, and the man-related problems too. Mine can be summarized as how to go my own way without being tricked or coerced into self-destructive acts.

Society asks MGTOWs: Why are you not making more tax-slaves?
