After noticing this, I realized that I had actually been a MGTOW of sorts for most of my life since adolescence (currently in my 30s). I never voiced my views to anyone while I was growing up because I thought I was alone. When I found out about MGTOW, I was relieved to know that there were people out there who shared my long-held discontent towards the blatant shameless disregard and perpetuation of double standards in various aspects of life by a large majority of females as well as their obvious or subtle attempts to “demasculinize” males and put themselves on a higher pedestal than men instead of promoting “gender equality”.

Besides the usual things that I am sure get discussed continually amongst MGTOW, here are some other things that have always irritated me since adolescence:

1. Women tend to receive expensive jewelry and breakfast in bed from their husbands on Mother’s Day, while men tend to receive ties from their wives on Father’s Day. Gee, let’s not make the hidden message about who is valued more in the modern family too subtle now.
2. Most female significant-others, especially those heavily brainwashed by the media machine, want to celebrate any special day that is associated with gift giving (their birthday, Mother’s Day, Valentine’s Day, Christmas, and various obscure special days that one would only know about through Internet research such as “Sweetest Day”). If females don’t receive a gift, or if they receive anything that doesn’t look like it cost a lot of money, then they interpret that to mean their male significant-other doesn’t love them. Yet it is acceptable for females to conveniently be stingy, even the ones with higher-paying jobs.
3. That mantra: “the man is always wrong and the woman is always right”. I heard it not only from female-hosted daytime talk shows, but also my sister.
4. The rising trend among female tennis players of using their tennis careers to launch/support their modeling careers. Most of these players aren’t even that good. If they actually focus more on tennis than modeling and make it into the top ten, they usually don’t stay there for long.
5. How some female athletes incorporate themselves into all-male sports rosters, regardless of whether the sport has a female version (golf) or not (football or hardball baseball), which goes to show that more than ever females want to grab men by the b~~~~. They also do it to make a statement that females can perform just as well as males in the same sports. But if a male tried to enter into an all-female sports roster, it would be unacceptable, and I think we all know their reasons why that is so.
6. Whenever most females announce their engagements, they do that annoying hand gesture to show-off their bling. I have never seen a male do that. Like many MGTOWs on here have said, it’s all a big p~~~ing contest.
7. Parents driving SUVs plastered with writing announcing their daughter’s birthday and how everyone, including random strangers, should wish their daughter a happy birthday. You never see parents doing that for their sons.
8. The recent stumbling upon of ASMR videos on YouTube which seem to be more about showcasing the female’s good looks, chest, and seductive voice rather than ASMR itself. However, they have the nerve to give the disclaimer that the video is not meant to be sexual in any way. ASMR is the new medium for attention whores, in my opinion.

Some farsighted visionaries have renamed Valentine’s Day. To us, it is now MGTOW Day. We celebrate by doing things for ourselves. Full disclosure: I send cards and emails to my female relatives which is easily affordable and seems to suffice.

What is ASMR? When I googled it, I got a medical term.
