Life is a do it yourself job?

I recall it was a Christian minister who told me this while I was in college. He said it is important to realize life is a do it yourself job.

I am thinking this might be a concept worth discussing in regards to MGTOW. Wouldn’t a core belief of MGTOW is coming to the reality that life is a do it yourself job, and you need to start doing it? Isn’t going one’s own way consist of taking responsibility for this?

Please feel free to share your thoughts on this. I do believe I can hold this to be true, but also say it is ok to get help along the way.

Of course it is, mgtow means you stop basing your worth and happiness on women and their approval in order to better yourself.
So yeah, life is a do it yourself job, and others or the big nanny state shouldn’t be the ones telling you what to do. That’s a concept gynocentric tards have a hard time grasping…
Be happy, because no one’s gonna do it for you.

It is a common failing of childhood to think that if one makes a hero out of a demon the demon will be satisfied.

Yes it’s not about woen bashing it’s about opening your eyes, seeing things for what they are.

You’re alone in this world, as a man at least.

Nobody will ever help you, even your own parents.

But it doesn’t have to be a sad thing. The only sad thing is that most of us come unprepared, because instead of teaching us how to me men and stand on our feet, we’ve been teached to be manginas white knights and other dysfunbctional entities that ended up destroying our society.

Mango, in regards to what you said, is it not also beneficial to end up not basing one’s worth or happiness on the opinions of not only women, but about everyone else? Only exception might be wise people whom, if you get wisdom from, are able to make you a better person? An honest evaluation can be of help, and facing one’s own shortcomings and dealing with them, is what matters? I see the whining thrown at MGTOW by some, and my response to these is folks is, “Honestly, it isn’t about you at all”. I am not going to allow approval by women to govern what I do. People’s approval I would seek would need to prove they are worthy of my seeking their approval. Above all me, happiness from strangers and their positive regard, is a way to not make it anywhere. The strangers, once you end up being successful, will look back in retrospect and say that it was obvious.

Maybe I am expecting more out of MGTOW, but as I see it, once you say, “I am not going to follow traditional get married or have a girlfriend” you are still left with questions on how to live, and what works.

I agree and not to get into a religious debate but the most important thing for me is a belief in myself and what I can do.

This is not vanity but a self determination that has kept me going against all odds.

Both government and religion fear this because an independent,self reliant individual is a threat to them.

Not to mention it is an extremely attractive quality to womin,oh well sucks to be them.

I feel if one would marry, the wife is going to have to agree to the terms you have as a MGTOW. This means knowing oneself in doing this, and having integrity to hold your boundaries. Maybe you can readjust them, but the boundaries need to be of benefit to both yourself, and partner. In no way should someone compromise for the sake of peace alone. That is my theory at least.

If what the ladies wanted was much more interesting and not the same blech, I might get more interested. What I am finding is what the lady really wants is to find some guy who thinks she is the bestest thing on the planet and really into her and do what she wants, and be interested in there. It is more like she matches to what he wants, and who she is. Well, it seems they all have the guy who wants to dance, go outdoors, wine, and so on. I really think they would just be better off if they found themselves and were happy with themselves, and not be needy like that. I would be up for a woman into what I am in, and who could be a partner with me. But such seems so rare anyhow. It is like a stupid social expectations game where the end prize is you get people who think you are neato, while you sacrifice everything for positive regard. I think I will pass here.
