In China single women over 26 years old (27 years old in Asia due to the fact they count when a baby in the fetus) is considered “left over women” In fact the Chinese government adopted this term to try to get women to marry. There huge pressure from society, parents and friends for women to get married.

Pretty girls don’t need a lot of education to marry into a rich and powerful family, but girls with an average or ugly appearance will find it difficult. These kinds of girls hope to further their education in order to increase their competitiveness. The tragedy is, they don’t realize that as women age, they are worth less and less, so by the time they get their M.A. or Ph.D., they are already old, like yellowed pearls.

Women think that they are entitled to a husband. They have no clue what a man seeks on a woman and have no interest in ASKING, so they keep trying to guess, and keep guessing wrong! Their value on a man is not the same the value a man sees on a woman. It is amazing, actually. Let them get all the degrees they want. And let them die alone, that’s what I would say.

The tragedy is, they don’t realize that as women age, they are worth less and less, so by the time they get their M.A. or Ph.D., they are already old, like yellowed pearls.

Meanwhile thanks to their hypergamous natures they think their degrees entitle them to a wealthy mate with multiple degrees, a mansion, a yacht, and they won’t settle for anything less. That failure of Prince Charming to show up for them is making them increasingly angry and frustrated.

Sucks to be them.

What’s the Chinese equivalent of the crazy cat owning spinster?

True, I gave them too much credit. For them guess wrong, they would have to actually put some effort to it. And they rather not.
