I felt like you guys here understand my reasoning for wanting to be healthier and I also feel like this is more or less a safe zone that people will be honest with me, but will also keep in mind I’m a work in  progress. I’ve mentioned it before on here, but my youngest brother took his life about 4 months ago and while I wasn’t in great shape when that happened, I’ve spiraled even worse since then. I just figure it’s time to be the King and take my life back. Pictures and stats to come tomorrow.

249.2 lbs today. At 5’10”, really not ideal. I’d put myself at 33-35% bodyfat if I had to guess. Shooting for 170-175 lbs.

Sounds like you’re on the right track, it’s just that suicide is DNA linked statistics wise.

Pursue protein, fill your kitchen with lots of unspoilable varieties of it.  Nitrates and nitrites f~~~ your bloodsugar up and must be avoided. Hit the medium-heavy weights hard and that muscle burns 10% more calories for forty eight hours. Cardio only elevates the basal metabolic rate for eight hours. Stay away from the “I don’t understand why you diet so hard” crowd, or tell them flat out, “that’s OK most people don’t[understand]”

Sounds stupid but, “anytime you gotta take a crap, take a crap” immediately – colonic motility is crucial.

work the four lobes of the rectus abdominus that are below the naval. Working the top six only ruins your posture.

Hang from a pullup bar with a shoulder width reverse grip with thumbs alongside fingers to expand ribcage and magically pull the obliques under it.

Lay on a benchpress and grip the uprights and do leg raises from side to side as well in order to work obliques WHILE keeping the ribcage ERECT.

hope this helps.     drink a lot of water     try “enter the zone’ by PhD Barry Sears.   Stay away from carbs in general, then stay away from the high glycemic index ones            3 to 4 ratio or 4 to 4 of protein to carbs at EVERY sitting.     NEVER eat carbs by themselves NEVER- this completely f~~~s up+ slows down your metabolism in a very hard to recover from way.  the only exception is simple carbs THIRTY minutes into an intense workout because your pancreas is inhibited from secreting insulin then.  Subscribe to 4 weightlifting magazines throw out the pages that are only ads on both sides, and read every page.  get a training partner – they are interested in your progression more than their wallet.
