On Independence Day I give thanks to the men who made a country with no king, a country where all men are created equal, a country where men can go their own way. America was the first country where it is normal for men of all social standings to sit and drink together.

A easy way to judge other people is by listening to what they think of this historic change. Independence day is not just about the United States. If it was then the United States would be the only modern democracy. This day changed the way people all over the world live. Currently, for some reason the founding fathers get little respect for the achievements and ideals the rest of the world functions on. The founding fathers are not divine and that was the point, so why do people expect 200 year dead men to be modern role models (probably because there are no new ones).

Here is the first 10 modern democracies.

USA (1789) [date the Unied States was politically recognized]
Switzerland (1798) [the only other country I could be persuaded to live in]
Denmark (1849) [this is where the socialist hellholes start]
New Zealand (1893)
Australia (1901)
Norway (1905)
Sweden (1907)
Iceland (1915)
Britain (1918)
Canada (1931)
