Now, I know it’s just a movie, but my question is this:   Is it wrong to want to procreate in the hopes that you can add a little more intelligence to the gene pool and dilute, however so slightly, the idiocy?  If so, why?  If not, how does one go about doing so without falling victim to the typical pitfalls of our gynocentric culture?    I am aware of my implication of my own “intelligence” and understand that I may very well be one of those “idiots,” but let’s just assume that my genes would actually be worth passing on for the sake of the argument, please.

After having those three wonderful kids I decided to get a vasectomy as I never wanted to give another weemin a child after having my own kids torn away from me. I thought “why make a kid when it turns out he/she ultimately isn’t yours to keep?” Best decision I made in my whole life. Now I can have my cake and eat it, too!

Another thing, now that I’ve read these responses, I’m curious. Do any of you have any kids?  I’ll bet it’s a lot easier for an man with kids to tell a man without kids not to have any. With the whole, “Trust me. I know” thing.   But that’s kinda like the bear telling the yeti not to get on the arc because, “it’s just gonna sink anyway…”

@untamed:  Similar question.  So IF the laws and the system were different, and your offspring were actually yours to share with the mother, would it be worth it to have children?  So you admittedly have children. Looking back, seeing how you were mistreated by the system and how your children were indoctrinated (remember, we were all indoctrinated too, but now WE’RE HERE), do you regret having children?  If you could go back, would you not nut up inside their mother?

For me, these are complicated issues that I am still struggling to deal with in my personal life. I am only here to gather information and gain understanding.
