A year and a half ago I ended a 4-year relationship that, at one point, could have sailed on towards marriage.

People change.

Towards the end I felt that I was being emotionally abused. Also, she had lost the desire to better herself and seemed to only be interested in matrimony and bearing children. I was making advances at work, saving money, and in the market to purchase a home. The trap was set. I saw this and ended the relationship.

After giving myself some time off I searched around for another female companion, but I could never seem to pinpoint what I was looking for. I find that online dating is just a joke. Entertainment for women and a resource for men who interested in a quick bag-and-tag (not hating, just speaking my mind). What women say they want and what they go home with at the end of the night are two completely different things, but I’m guessing I’m preaching to the choir at this point.

I’m not currently searching for a companionship (except for dogs) at the moment and I’m becoming more and more OK with the idea that I may never find myself a female counterpart. I’ve stopped actively searching, although I won’t deny myself the opportunity to engage with a woman if one is presented to me. I’ve started focusing more on my hobbies. I participate in more activities now than I ever did when I was in a relationship. Looking back over the years I can’t believe how I let being in a relationship keep me from my hobbies! I save more money, I am no longer in debt, and I’m the only one I have to answer to!

The more and more I read, the more I find that I am not alone. You all have been out there this whole time! This gives me even more strength and conviction to continue being a MGTOW. I have not rejected women, nor do I intend to, but what I WILL do is carve out a new path for myself that focuses on freedom, adventure, and independence.

I was bound to be misunderstood, and I laugh at those who misunderstand me. Kind mockery at the well intentioned, but unfettered cruelty towards those would be prison guards of my creative possibilities.
