I figured I might as well give a head’s up in regards to something I do.  What I do is I “hack” tabletop games. I come up with variants, and I discuss these ideas on my YouTube channel, Classic Games Redefined.  I also do commentary on game news.  Part of my motivation for the channel, besides showing people how to play my games (people don’t like to read) was to also discuss trends that annoy me about the videogame industry, where the idea is for people to turn games into devices to push an agenda, thinking that stale gameplay is what is needed to push something that has no challenge or replayability.  Yes, I have opinions here.

I would say, as far as what I play, I do some stat building videogame stuff (mucking around with Rogue Legacy on my Vita).  I don’t normally play much pen and paperwise, because I am not one to make such a commitment (I need my schedule flexible, so won’t do a campaign), and also I tend to get a bit of Civ amnesia, which consists of forgetting what the heck I was doing.  Single session playing and so on works better.

Oh, I did design what I would consider to be the World’s Word Boardgame (W.W.B) and did an RPG version of it, where you don’t play the game, but you roleplay a character playing the game 😛 (yes, I did that).
