Here is a partial list of my Christmas season viewing.

The Godfather Trilogy http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0150742/

Terminator #1 http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0088247/ (It’s the best of the bunch. Why is it that series don’t get better with age and experience? Hmm … that’s not a completely fair question, since I didn’t either.)

Galaxy Quest (What the Star Trek movies should have been and never were try as they might. The kids who weren’t invited threw their own party, and it was better.)

Anything with Jason Statham http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0005458/ (The early Brit crime ones are my favorites.)

Hot Fuzz http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0425112/ and every other pairing of Simon Pegg & Nick Frost. (This includes Paul http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1092026/ even though Seth Rogan is in it as the CGI creature’s voice.)

Anything with John Wayne, Kirk Douglas, Clark Gable, Burt Lancaster, and Errol Flynn — some of these gems are even in color.

Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, Jason Momoa, and Vin Diesel get honorable mention in the “anything by” category. Most of their filmography I was content to watch once. No need to drag them out again at Christmas, but I’m always a sucker for blood & guts flicks.

The D.I. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0050283/ (A true gem in spite of not being in color and having a bunch of romantic stuff underfoot.)

What about chick flicks? Well you might ask! (These don’t come out just because it’s Christmas, but I do enjoy them.)

Any Shakespeare comedy. Shakespeare’s Romeo And Juliet (hardly a comedy, but truly a chick flick.)

Any adaptation of Jane Austen’s novels. The iconic version of Pride & Prejudice with Colin Farrell is my favorite. (I have no idea why I like Austen. Lord knows I don’t like romcoms in general. Perhaps it is overspill from some childhood trauma. Oh well, it’s my neurosis, and I’m comfortable with it. So there.)

Gigi, My Fair Lady, South Pacific (the Mitzi Gaynor version) and that’s about all.

Society asks MGTOWs: Why are you not making more tax-slaves?
