Of that number 23% or just over 73 million are under the age of 18…or children. This means there’s approximately 245 million adults in the US alone. Remember this for later.

The CDC reports there are 2.1 million marriages, as of 2012 and in that same year 851,000 divorces. This means that barely 2% of the adult population in 2012 was married. This gives us a divorce rate of about 40%.

Ashley Madison got hacked last month and 37 million accounts were compromised. This site solicits specifically to married people to encourage them to cheat on their spouses. Extrapolating from the numbers above, this means that 17 times the number of currently married people in the United States had accounts on this single cheating site alone.

When you take into consideration all the other online dating sites, apps such as Tindr, snapchat etc. a brutal reality starts to set in:
<p style=”text-align: center;”>There’s infidelity in every marriage and most likely…every “committed” relationship! </p>
For you married guys out there, the odds that you’re wife isn’t cheating on you is probably less than your chances of winning the lottery. Knowing this, why would a guy get married. More importantly, knowing that there’s a very high statistical probability your wife is an adulteress… why stay married?

Remember when gambling…the house always wins… The only solution here is MGTOW

Every woman is a slut, if you catch her on the right day.

For me, the odds of a happy marriage are ZERO. There is no need to buy a lottery ticket. I know I will lose going into the bargain.

However the fake/inactive accounts do make a difference in the statistics. Exact numbers for those cannot be known. However, your statement still stands: those that are married are more than likely married to cheaters.

No. There were 2.1 million marriages in 2012, not 2.1 million married people.

Extrapolating from the numbers above, this means that 17 times the number of currently married people in the United States had accounts on this single cheating site alone.

Also no. See the link below for a table showing that while marriage is in decline – surprise surprise – better than 50% of people are married.

So I think it’s about a 1 in 7 chance of a spouse with an Ashley Madison account, but that’s still ridiculously high. Match.com and eHarmony are far larger, and how many cheaters are on there? On Tinder? Craigslist etc? Down the local bar? It’s madness.

First point: I said marriages not married people. Allow me to explain, out of approximately 245 million people, about 4.1 million were married.

Second Point: The Census isn’t the official source of marriage rates on a national level See: http://www.census.gov/hhes/socdemo/marriage/

That said, thank you for your feedback.
