For those few of you who do not know who she is or care enough to Google her, all you need to know is she is the feminazy milking the gaming scene for money atm.

Anyway, Steam added a new feature in September of last year called Steam Curators. This is where people can recommend games according to their own criteria. Now while this sounds pretty mundane and not earth shaking is because it was long overdue to be implemented.

Why have all of this boring exposition? Because you can see the total number of people following each curator and sort them by number of followers. Steam is a huge distributor with millions of users of log in daily to buy games and network with other peeps to nerd out. The following link will take you to Feminist Frequency’s page with a total of 5345 followers as of today. To give you some perspective on where that ranks the top curator is  Cynical Brit Gaming run by TotalBiscuit with 399,712 followers followed up by PC Gamer with 156,871.

I find this very enlightening but not all that surprising. Because no matter how much you bitch and moan about female under or miss representation in games (which has not been true for a awhile now as anyone can make a game and put it out) the only thing that matters is if people follow you in the only way that truly matters in a open market economy and that is with their wallet. And her power on steam is pitiful to say the least.

A few years ago she was able to raise $160,000 on Kickstarter in order to produce feminist videos on gaming, to date she has not fulfilled this and I doubt she will, but what strikes me as curious is why she did not take that money and produce a game that spoke to her ideals? I have seen epic games with less money then that get made. I will stop here as I could rant all day on this topic.
