This just shows how superficial they are. A man just landed a probe on a moving asteroid millions of miles away, and ALL they can think about is his shirt? Not asking questions like “Hey, maybe his friend that made this shirt helped him through the rough times, and he wore it to honor her or to draw strength from”? I guarantee that woman that accosted him for it was just LOOKING for something to blame men and patriarchy about. If it wasn’t his shirt, then it would have been bitching about how not enough of the scientists were female (easy answer: they’re all too busy studying women’s history and gender studies while the men were staying up for days on end memorizing physics). It would almost be funny if it weren’t so sad.

Where does she get off anyway? There are things like the SlutWalk where women walk around in the skimpiest outfits they can find. They protest topless for pretty much any reason they can think. If they wear a low cut shirt and catch you looking, they unleash a bitch storm the likes of which no one has ever seen. “I can wear whatever I want! I wore this shirt for me, not you! Stop looking and objectifying me!”

I’ve been reading comments on that and it backfired really hardcore.

Many women and mangina refuse to associate withe the word feminism now, and the ideas that #women against feminism put to light this summer are starting to resonate.

Interestingly, many women suggested that it kinda make all women look stupid, and when i suggested similar views in comments i surprisingly met a lot of support.

It seems also that young generations of women are very uncomfortable with feminism and reject the idea that career and personal development is more important than family and children. I’ve seen some of them expressing the wish to marry BEFORE starting a career, in an attempt to NOT look like their mothers.

 

In a way i believe 2014 has been the year when feminism was shattered to pieces and showed its true face to the public eye.

 

It’s a victory for us and a victory for anyone who thinks this was all a masquerade.
