In my extremely conservative community, boys are set up on what is called ‘shidduch dates’. We don’t have all that much opportunity to go out and find girls, plus the community has such crazy hang ups that unmarried girls and unmarried boys are not supposed to comingle and fraternize unless it is for marriage purposes (eyeroll).

This is how my last dreadful date went (and it is indicative of the mindset of man a young woman these days):

Me: What kind of expenses did you have in mind (background: she mentioned something about how expensive it is to maintain a household these days).

She (thinking intently): I want to have a nice sheitel ! (a sheitel is a wig worn by Orthodox Jewish women in a ridiculous loophole, a pathetic attempt to circumvent the prohibition against a married woman wearing her hair uncovered).

Me: Ok, what’s an expensive sheitel cost? 2,000?

She (laughing): Those are the cheap ones.

If you thought that religious Jewish women are wholesome and a catch, then you may have thought wrong. A growing number of women in this ultra-conservative community are becoming more and more uber materialistic. They don’t want to work, they expect expensive gifts and pampering at every given moment. Many of them are lousy mothers. There are no shortage of nasty divorces (with the ever present money extortion) in this community. There is no shortage of backbiting and mean spiritedness.

You may also want to familiarize yourself with something called ‘The Shidduch Crisis’ where the Orthodox Jewish community bemoans the fact that so many men and women are remaining single. All kinds of ridiculous theories and ‘solutions’ have been offered. Nobody has the guts to say it like it is.

Every now and then I get more shidduch offers. I am getting fed up with the never ending grind. I try to politely decline.

Yesterday I kinda went full retard and told my orthodox jewish friend (who is single himself) about mgtow. I told him I’ve decided that there’s no point in getting married anymore. Marriage is becoming obsolete and to just look around and see how many young married couples are either miserable or divorced. Thems blasphemous words where I come from. He did call me in a huff but I don’t have the patience to hear a lecture..
