Am i the ONLY one that should take it on the chin and just go along with and be happy that my childhood feels like its about to be crushed? Thats the way I feel anyway.

The World Loved Ghostbusters back in the day, they were heroes of our childhood.  I as a fan, eagerly anticipated for decades for another ghostbusters sequel as the last one was awesome.  Now I feel that I have been let down again by them having an all-Female Ghostbusters cast for the next Ghostbusters movie.

Why am I so bothered about it?  Think of it like a chain reaction. they went from a male orientated role to female, so they can walk on the red carpet half-Naked, claim that the moral of the story is going to be more about how  women can do the same things that men can do and prove Strong woman are as men.

Yes I am getting quite p~~~y because this determines if I will actually go and watch it or not, and im heading for the latter.

I see nothing but disrespect from the Women community and White knights that think that putting them(women) on a pedestal will get them pussy.

Just because they got some sort of approval from an aging bill Murray does not make it OK.

Off the record: TMNT movie was just a Megan Fox Promotion.

What do you GUYS think? Should I just STFU and ignore it?

Not even the biggest movie studios know what will flop and what will make it a cultural favorite. Just like all the technology and equipment we have will never be able to predict the weather.

Ghostbusters was a whopping success because EVERY part of the movie came together. Including the music and the supporting cast – like Rick Moranis. EVERYONE in it was original and authentic.

But most importantly, it came in the 80s when EVERYONE still had a sense of humor. Humor – true hilarious comedy – was not stifled by the need to be politically correct. The only way an all-female cast can be “funny” today, is by humiliating, belittling, and mocking men. But the REAL secret to it, lies in the fact that WOMEN ARE TERRIFIED OF LOWERING THEIR STATUS FOR A LAUGH. Men are far more prepared to allow themselves to be unattractive, goofy, silly, STUPID and geeky for the sake of making a joke. If you want to be TRULY funny, you have to be prepared to make a joke out of YOURSELF.

Lucille Ball and Carol Burnett were the last great Queens of Comedy because they were not afraid of looking unattractive. Even Joan Rivers once made jokes about herself being flat chested and totally unf~~~able. They fearlessly put themselves in situations where they looked utterly ridiculous and mocked THEMSELVES. They took it as far as they could and went beyond.

But today, women are terrified of this and they wield sarcasm so as to mock OTHERS, while desperately trying to preserve their own attractiveness and desirability – above all other things. To the modern female comic (i.e. Kathy Griffin and even a much older Joan Rivers) make a living out of talking s~~~ about OTHER PEOPLE while talking THEMSELVES UP. We know sarcasm makes one look petulant and brackish, but women don’t seem to have any problem with that. They are PROUD of it and think it’s “funny” to pretend to be superior, snide, scathing and catty. They want to maintain their desirability and status, while lowering every one else’s. That’s a failure recipe for classic comedy.

This video was from about the time of Ghostbusters. Look at how much FUN everyone is having. ON MAINSTREAM DAYTIME TV!!!

Yet the video is called “did this air”? Because everyone knows this humor would not be acceptable today. Feminists would have a field day trying to get it banned because its’ “sexist” and “racist”.

Its’ not “politically correct” enough. And the late Joan Rivers was right. People just aren’t FUN anymore. They don’t LAUGH anymore like we used to. They just cut others up and think they are being “funny”. And now you gotta watch what you joke about because if a feminist doesn’t think it’s funny, it should be banned. Please.

I predict the new Ghostbusters will be a yawn, totally unfunny, probably relying on visual effects, and if they get any laughs at all, it will because they used MEN to do it properly or try and get a laugh. EMMA STONE? What line did she ever deliver that was FUNNY? Kristen Wiig does great impersonations but she’s not funny on her own. Bill Murray – in Tootsie – was left alone to ad-lib surrounded by a bunch of people (while cameras were rolling) who had NO IDEA what he was going to say or do. The guy is a comic genius without even trying.

They will make the all-female Ghostbusters, and all it will do is make the original even better.
THAT’s probably why Bill Murray approved. If I were Bill Murray, I would too.

If you keep doing what you've always done... you're gonna keep getting what you always got.

Im hoping the same.

It will bomb and bomb horribly. More pandering to the PC police. Poor Harold Ramis is spinning in his grave.

Yea feminists/women wouldnt like that one bit..

Lets see here…all the remakes of 80 movies that decided to go “against” the grain to be feminist/pc friendly all TANKED at the box office…

Remember the days when hollywood execs actually allowed filmakers to be original? To be unique? To actually challenge, entertain, and tell a story to capture everyone?

I cant for life of me comprehend why they kept green lighting them s~~~ty “resident evil” movies..what to push some “female empowerment” statement? Yea all the movies BOMBED!!

I discussed this on an online forum..I’m all for a female lead in a movie, the only movie to do this right was the “alien” franchise…they did her right..she wasnt there for a feminist statement, they wrote her realistic in that type of enviornment…riley never was made to seem “goddess”-like at the expense of throwing the male characters under the bus or dumbing them down..they all needed each other, yea she was the lead but, the direction, and writing didnt push it on us..which made her a more relatable character

The problem with these “female” lead horror/sci-fi/superhero films is that they constantly shove that she’s the “lead” in the group, while throwing all the male characters under the bus…the thing prequel is a prime example and the director actually came out saying he based the female lead on “riley from alien” ..I remember laughing my ass off and thinking to even compare the two is insulting to all the fans of the alien movie franchise…then these moronic execs wonder why people dont flock to these films, you’re not even TRYING to be original, you’re trying to rip off other iconic characters

This ghostbusters movie will bomb badly, they will try their hardest to push it on people, which will make it even be more a bomb..you can shove “female empowerment” all you want, if you dont make a very good story, make it relatable , and try making political statements at the expense of good direction/story/character development it will always fail…

Like Zuberi Tau said We do not have to watch it.

It would make more sense to make the women daughters of the original Ghostbusters and maybe have Bill Murry come back as their mentor or something like that. Now that I hear the direction of bridesmades is directing this it does have me worried. I want this movie to be Ghostbusters, not Ghostbusters for women.

This isn’t even the only forum of entertainment that has been affected by women. I heard the Amazing Spider-Man movies were made to attract women more then men. Thor is now a woman in the Marvel comics universe. The guy Thor is still around, but can no longer pick up the Mjolnir and instead some woman was able to. Although to be fair even though only 1 issue is out so far with female Thor it is kind of interesting, I liked it. So maybe the new Ghostbusters will be like that. However in the Batman family the opposite happened. I am not going to say too much because I plan on making a detailed post later about this, but the new issue of Batgirl came out this week with the new writer and artist and basically the book is now for the typical 21 year old tumblr feminist.

The funny thing about that is Paul S Anderson even said he liked Resident Evil because of its strong female characters, yet in the first movie instead of including Jill or Claire he lets his girlfriend be the main character who isn’t even from the games. Then when they add game characters starting with the second movie they all play second fiddle to Alice lol. This is literally a women doing the direction to advance her career lol.
